In 1999, I wrote “We Are Family” after a devastating loss turned a planned family gathering into a weekend of heartbreak. The song carried a message that still guides me: Be intentional about spending time together. Tell people you love them. Give them their flowers while they live.

Years later, my siblings and I took on the planning for both of our parents’ celebration of life services. My mother’s passing was unexpected, and I learned firsthand how overwhelming it can be to coordinate a meaningful farewell while grieving.

Those experiences inspired We Are Family Concierge Services. From joyful reunions to gatherings of remembrance, your dedicated family liaison coordinates the calls, schedules, vendors, and details with care. For bereaved families, we work alongside the funeral home, coordinating church arrangements, music, printed tributes, and the repast, with practical follow-up support afterward.

Our family also brought something special to our parents’ homegoing services. As a singing family with experience organizing concerts and programs, we understood how to bring music, memories, and meaningful moments together. We paid attention to the flow of each service and the way people were welcomed and included.

Afterward, people told us they felt encouraged, comforted, and like part of our family. It meant so much to know that we had honored our parents in a way that surrounded others with love.
